That's true, so we should state in the Constitution that laws can be changed through a certain process.
The planet should be run by the people who are alive, not dead.
The Constitution
Jefferson knew the Constitution was going to continue on after he and all the other people in this time were gone, and that things were going to change. He wanted future generations to change parts of the Constitution and put in their input so government and life could be managed properly. That is why they made a process to amend the Constitution, so people in the future can run the government smoothy in a way that is right for their time and not outdated.

Amending the Constitution
There should be 2 ways to propose and ratify the Constitution.
So future generations can change the Constitution, we need to write the process to do so down.

To make amendments to the Constitution, first, 2/3 of the houses of Congress have to approve of it, or 2/3 of the state legislatures have to approve of it to form a national convention so the change can be proposed. For amendments to be ratified, the proposal has to be accepted by 3/4 of the state's legislatures or approved by 3/4 of the state's conventions.
