Foreshadowing Storyboard

“He stood looking up at the ventilator grille in the hall and suddenly remembered that something lay hidden behind the grille, something that seemed to peer down at him now” The foreshadowing not only suggests that Guy is hiding something major and important that will later impact the story, but adds curiosity as to what it may be or what will happen.
“He wore his happiness like a mask and the girl had run off across the lawn with the mask and there was no way of going to knock on her door and ask for it back.” (p. 9). This line made me realize that people were faking their happiness and emotions. It explained why Mildred acted as if she did not overdose and so many people tried to kill themselves over the past years a special machine was made to make the recovery process faster.
The growl simmered in the beast and it looked at him. Montag backed up. The Hound took a step from its kennel. The growl and the Hound's movement could symbolize a threat or impending danger that Montag may face. The fact that Montag backs up in response to the Hound's actions reinforces the idea that there may be a significant and potentially perilous event in the future.
