Track new cases and identify risk factors Collaborate with public health researchers Monitor effectiveness of interventions
Agreed. PPE supplies must be prioritised for hospitals and clinics in those high-risk areas. We should also enforce mask mandates and social distancing, where most cases are linked to indoor gatherings.
Our researchers' case-control study shows that certain neighbourhoods and groups are at a higher risk. We need to focus testing and resources there immediately.
When we address the public, factual updates about the risk factors need to be shared. Social media, television and radio can reach everyone. We must tackle misinformation using evidence from the study conducted.

Since the case-control study helped us identify the key risk factors, we can now see how the pandemic affected people beyond the infection itself.
Our analysis shows that about a third of infected individuals were hospitalised, with a fatality rates reached up to 12%. We have also recorded 106 confirmed cases, 5% new recent cases, 3 deaths and 14 recoveries. However, new cases per 100 000 remain low.
On the clinical side, hospitalisation placed a heavy financial burden on families and facilities. We had to even secure extra staff and resources, including vaccines and PPE.
With the department's control measures in place, transmission is stable and risks are minimal.Continuous team work, monitoring and rapid response will be essential to prevent future outbreaks.Overall the study shows that cases are low, but vigilance must continue.

We support that by screening, sharing clear information on Covid-19 and identifying those most at risk.
Community leaders remain crucial and people depend on them for guidance.
Tracking new cases, advising isolation and explaining the benefits of vaccination all help keep control.
Overall, cases are low and well managed but those with existing conditions still need ongoing support.
