During this scene Melinda skips school again and decides to go to the hospital. At first she felt safe and she got dressed in one of the jonny shirts and lays in bed and wonders if nurses would even notice. She gets up and leaves after seeing someone who "actually sick". (111)

In this scene Melinda is in a in school detention because she has missed so much school. Then "It" (Andy Evans) shows up and tries to talk to Melinda. Its important because we can see that she gets very anxious when he's around. (117)
In this scene Melinda and her parents are sitting by the christmas tree opening presents, they got Mel a sketchbook and paints because they noticed that she is interested in art. (71)
In this scene Melinda is reading a book in art class about Picasso because she felt uninspired, after reading the book she felt understood and inspired. (118)
