WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
Vaccinate your children
Measles is highly infectious. The best method to prevent measles is vaccination, should your child develop symptoms like fever, red eyes and skin rash, isolate your child. Make sure your child is hydrated and ensure adequate rest. This can stop the disease from spreading.
Day 15
Is the vaccine safe Dr?
The measles vaccine is very safe and effective. Like any other vaccine, side effects may present and will be gone after a week.
Two shots of measles/MMR vaccine are effective at preventing measles. Measles vaccine is licensed to be administered at 6 months first dose and 12 months second dose while MMR first dose is administered at 12 months and second dose is at 6 years.

The epidemiological surveillance study shows that there is a decline in the number of cases since the administration of the vaccine.
After a quantitative study was done we found that there is a decreased incidence in measles in young children. We fully support and encourage parents to vaccinate their children.
