- December, 5 1835 Milam and Johnson lead an attack on San Antonio. Texans won the battle!

- March 1, 1836, Washington-on-the-Brazos: Texas Declares Independence because of all the problems they faced from Mexico.Convention of 1836
- We have already elected Henry Smith as governor and Sam Houston as commander in chief of the army. Now We declare independence from Mexico!
- February 24th, 1836, Fighting began at the Alamo in San Antonio and William Travis sent out a letter. Among the defenders of the Alamo were Travis, David Crockett, and James Bowie.
- Texans lost the battle at the Alamo, but this inspired them to win the war. Remember the Alamo!
- No Rendirse, muchachos! Don't surrender boys!
- Do not leave anyone alive
- Remember Goliad!
- March,27, 1836 the Goliad massacre!James Fannin was forced to surrender with his 350 soldiers and most were killed because of some unfortunate decisions.
- Fight for freedom!
- The Battle of San Jacinto April,21 1836. Sam Houston's army were well trained and had more weapons this time(they had the twin sisters)so the Texans won the battle.
- We won!

- Remember the Alamo! Remember Goliad!
- The Treaty of Velasco, April 1836.The new president of the Republic of Texas, David G. Burnet met with Santa Anna and Santa Anna signed a treaty that brought the war to an end.
