Storyboard Tekst
- Say Marie, all these wars are taking quite a toll on our finances. I do say we must increase taxes.
- I must call for the Estates General to meet, we need a solution!
- Unfortunately, I do not think that the peasants can pay any more taxes Louis.
- Send a man to call together the first and second Estates, and call the third together yourself.
- Right away, Sire.
- What is so important that my father must talk about it on a Sunday?
- I must go, to preserve our country's integrity, and to represent our dear third estate.
- Father, what was that meeting? Is there trouble?
- There may very well be trouble Augustin. I am needed by our country.
- The King has called together the Estates General meeting for the first time in a very long time.
- What is the Es...Estates Ge...General?
- It is the gathering of the finest representatives in France of each Estate.
- The three Estates are the clergies, nobility and the peasants.
- This system allows our society to divide itself up in politics.
- Goodnight son, but remember that while it is complicated now, change is coming to France.
