- HERC DEFEATS THE LERNAEAN HYDRA!
- Hercules brought peace to the people of Lerna when he killed off the vicious monster, the hydra. Truly only a task for the great Hercules! Whenever the hydra's head was cut off, two more heads would grow in its place. Hercules valiantly beheaded the hydra while his nephew, Iolaos, cauterized the necks to prevent new heads from growing. After Hercules cut off the final head and buried it beneath a rock, the hydra was no more!
