- The large Persian fleet attacked the Athenian ships but the Athenian managed to dodge them and sunk the Persians ships and took back Persia.
- After the invasion, the Athenians built a fleet of ships, they called it triremes.
- The Persian Empire would eventually be taken over by the Greeks under the leadership of Alexander the Great.
