- The narrator says he is not mad but the old man eye is what terrifies him and he had a plane to kill the old man.
- The narrator was never this kind to the old man into th week before he killed the old man.To prove his sanity the narrator go through his plane carefully. At 12:00 every night he would peep his head in the door and watch the old man but every time his eye was closed.
- On the eighth night the narrator was so exited that the old man didn't have no idea what he was doing that he letted out a quiet chuckle. As he was going in the room his finger slipped and the old man jumped up in asking who is there but his room was to dark to see.The narrator was so scared that he started to have a anxiety attack and the neighbors heard him.
- On the eighth night the narrator suffocated the old man with a mattress because the suspicion started to grow. The narrator had to think of a way to hide the body.
- The narrator cut the old man head off his arms,and legs. Then he took up three planks from the flooring of the chamber, and deposited all between the scantlings. I then replaced the boards so cleverly, so cunningly, that no human eye --not even his --could have detected any thing wrong.
- The narrator heard the door knock and it was the police . The neighbor heard a sound and called the police the narrator lied and said the old man was on vacation and the police looked around the whole house they believed him and sat down for a little bit the narrator got scared and more scared he wind up telling on himself.
