- Behaviourists need that mental states are just behaviours. If we can't observe it, we shouldn't study it.
- And if I feel pain but don't react? Does that mean I'm not actually in pain?
- And if I love my dog, that just means I pet him and take care of him? Love is just how I act?
- That's the problem! Some people, like actors or soldiers, can feel pain wihtout showing it. Behaviourism ignores that!
- If feelings exist without behaviour, maybe behaviourism doesn't tell the whole story after all.
