Storyboard Tekst

  • Two researchers, Francis Crick and James Watson, were two of the other people who were competing to find the structure of DNA. James Watson went to Rosalind one day and asked for her to join them in their research, but she angrily refused.
  • After being rejected by Rosalind, James met Wilkins and they became friends. Wilkins later showed him Rosalind's x-ray images, without her permission, and Watson realized what he was missing and created a 3-D model of DNA.
  • Francis Crick, James Watson, and Maurice Wilkins are all given the Nobel Prize for the discovery of the DNA structure.
  • When Rosalind Franklin left King's College, she went to Birkbeck College, where she led a team of researchers who studied the molecular structure of viruses.
  • April 16, 1958: Rosalind Franklin dies of ovarian cancer at the age of 37.
  • One of the researchers who was working with Rosalind on the virus study won the Nobel Prize for this discovery, which she could've won too if she was alive.
