- In his speech he talked about how he felt it was not right or fair, that only the students who had lost their fathers were considered "anak yatim".
- To him it made mothers appear weaker, and incapable of taking care of their children alone.
- He was raised by just his mother his entire life. He expressed to us how well his mother was able to care for him.
- I did not sign up to receive your donations today. Instead I want to give my money to a school mate of mine, who recently lost his mother.
- His message inspired us to think differently about students, their families and the terms with which we define each other.
- The criteria of "anak yatim" in PTET was changed to include those who are raised by just their fathers, their mothers or other guardians as well.
