This course was full of new information for me. A lot of the foundational things we went over in the very beginning weren't too fresh in my mind, as I already had some sort of understanding on them, but as we got into specific examples of past societies or cultural differences (like between the color of wedding dresses worn by American women vs Chinese women) I was given a deeper look into this things that I might have taken note of on the surface level.

The module regarding the economics was a section I felt is something I will always have in the back of my mind moving forward. In High School I took an AP Micro- and Macroeconomics class and we were given all of the functionality behind the economy and economies in general, but they were never really put into context beforehand. With this course, we stripped it down right to the very core of an economy and what it truly takes for there to even be a *need* for an economy.

Honestly.. The concepts I'll probably be keeping at the forefront of my mind are also going to be any of the sections regarding conflict between bands, tribes, castes, any divergent groups. We're in very, very trying times where even looking to history seems like it's not enough to brace for whatever storm is upon us. The next 5 years is just about how long it will take for me to make sense of how we as a people and as a nation reached this point, but again like with my last slide, this course was able to put things into a lot more perspective than I had when viewing and discussing these things before.
