Yes I do, the sun is one of the reasons I have energy inside of my cells right now.
Why does the sun help you out?
It's because of something called photosynthesis.
What's photosynthesis?
Well it all starts in photo system 2 where the sunlight and water get accepted, the water gets broken down by the first protein and drops off an electron for the electron transport chain.
Wow that's a lot.
You just wait that's just the beginning, after the electron transport chain takes the electron it sends it to photo system 1, where it gets dropped off with an NADP+ which turns into NADPH. While the electron transport chain is taking the electron through the membrane it is charging some proteins to send H+'s to the inner thylakoid space from the stroma.
Jeez it just keeps going.
It does; after all of that happens then we get the ATP synthase which with the gradient of H+'s it turns ADP into ATP, after that the NADPH that was created gets sent to the calvin cycle. The calvin cycle creates a half of a glucose molecule with each revolution.
Are we almost done?
Yes, last part. The calvin cycle starts with 3 molecules of carbon dioxide which then gain some photons from ATP which turns it into 6 molecules of 3-PGA, after some NADPH's drop off some H+'s we are left with 6 G3P which one goes off to turn into half of a glucose molecule while the other 5 get regenerated into RuBP and then get combined with another 3 molecules of carbon dioxide from RuBisCO.
