Hey everyone, I hoped you tuned in this week to learn about credit and its importance. This week I mostly lived off my mom's food and went out for dinner so in total I spent like $20. Going to your parents is always a pretty cost-efficient way of eating!
week 3, day 1
Hey everyone, this week we're talking about financial institutions. So I go to RBC, and no this is not sponsored. I use a brick and mortar institution because I like to ask for financial advice and it's something that I value. But, picking a financial institution is all about what best serves your needs and lifestyle.
week 3, day 5
Hey everyone, my friends and I went out to eat again. If you haven't seen my tips and tricks for saving money, I highly suggest you go and check them out. Oh, I also spent around $20 tonight!
week 4, day 1
It's reaching the end of the month and I actually have some tips and tricks for costs of a living space. So my place is shared with my roommate and there are two bedrooms. I gave my roommate the larger bedroom so I pay less rent than she does.
week 4, day 7
Ok so let's calculate the money I've spent this month. My needs - my weekly groceries cost about $103.40. My rent is $798. My needs this month total to $901.40. My wants - my art supplies cost $50.96, and my dinners with friends totalled to $40. In total my wants cost $90.96. Following my 70/20/10 rule, $248.40 goes to my savings.
In total, this month I've spent $1240.76 of my $2484.03 spending salary!
If there's one thing that I hope people take away from my series is that financial literacy is very important no matter how old you are. Money is very important and knowing how to use it is even more important!
