- One hundred years later the negro is still not free, One hundred years later the negro is still crippled by the chains of discrimination
- Logos
- America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked insufficient funds.
- Hes saying that everyone is equal and that we all do the same things, that just cause of my skin color we should be treated differently
- Ethos
- not lead us to distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny
- He's talking about how he wishes that the white men would stop talking down to him just because of his skin color
- Pathos
- One hundred years and the Negro is still languished in the corners of america
- “I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of “interposition” and “nullification” — one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers”.
- Here king is talking about how the country has been unfair to its african american people and treat them poorly.
- Logos
- He says here that not all white people still have it out for the negro people and have come to their senses that there all the same
- He says here that even after One Hundred years the negro people are still exiled
- He says here that he has a dream that one day in alabama little kids of all races will join together and live in peace
