As I was having a great time celebrating carnival, and that delinquent Montressor came up to me, telling me how he is in doubt about a sherry's quality.

I thought only of the Amontillado, my pride pushing me forward. The chill air and Montressor's concern seemed trivial compared to the prior knowledge I had of wine

Montressor was kinda making me "raise my eyebrow" because it seemed that he was forcing me, or he really wanted me to drink. But I drank anyway, and I started to feel tipsy and started to get lightheaded.
