Alright my Fantisiticos, today we are going to take a break from Social Studies, and instead look at famous people and you have to tell me why they are famous.
This man's name is Thomas Edison. What is he known for?
He invented the lightbulb?
Today, Mr. Daniels says that he is going to put up different famous people on the board, and the class has to guess what they are known for.
He points to the first picture.
Ally calls out the first answer.
Mr. Daniels tells Ally to always declare her answers. He then goes on to talk about different famous people.
Pablo Picasso, Muhammad Ali, J.F.K, Alexander Graham Bell, and Henry Ford.
Mr. Daniels then goes on to tell the students what all of these people have in common.
You see, all these people have one thing in common. They were all diagnosed with dyslexia.
Even though these people had a learning disability, they did not let it stop them from achieving the highest standing in their respective fields.
When the class is dismissed, Mr. Daniels gives Ally a paperweight that reads, Never, never, never quit. -Winston Churchill. He gives it to her to help her realize that her diagnosis does not change the fact that she is extremely bright, and with hard work, she will succeed in everything that she sets her mind to.
