- This is Phil. Phil became homeless 5 years ago when he started getting into drugs. He is sleeping on the streets and has to beg for money in order to survive.
- Hello sir, do you have any spare change? I haven't eaten in two days.
- I will, thank you so much sir!
- Sure man, I hope you use it wisely.
- Phil lied, like he always does. He felt he needed to in order to be able to get high. So Phil walked to meet his dealer in a rugged old bathroom.
- Doyouhavethemoney?
- Yes, but the next time you don't pay me, it'll be trouble.
- Yes, can I get more now?
- Phil spent another day under the bridge, getting high, and doing nothing for himself. He was homeless and didn't do anything to change that, even though he knew he didn't want to live like this, he thought it was the only way of life.
- The next day he goes out to beg for more money.
- Iam so sorry. I don't have much, but here you go.
- Thank you so much. God bless you.
- Excuse me miss, but I have no money and no home. Would you be willing to spare some change.
- Phil knew that he was using this money for the wrong reasons, but he was an addict. He couldn't help himself.

- Phil was in a lot of trouble. He didn't get the money he owed to his dealer. He was worried about what would happen next.

- Of course I mean that! His life is meaningless anyway.

- Where am I? Who are you?
- My name is Louise. I found you in an alley half dead.
- I would never leave someone to die. The meaning to life is what you make it. Everyone is worth saving.

- Louise stayed with Phil for a few hours and listened to how he ended up in that ally.
- We know Louis very well. She took care of you and once you are sober she donated some money to give you a fresh start.
- Hello, I'm Dr. Williams. We found a lot of drugs in your system so we will be keeping you here for the next few weeks, maybe months.
- Thanks Doc, but I don't have the money to afford treatment.
- 3 MONTHS LATER
- Phil had left the hospital. It was hard getting sober, but he felt better than ever.
- Beautiful day isn't it?
- Yes, yes it is.
- He got a fresh hair cut, new clothes and made conversation with people instead of asking them for money.
- He got a job.
- Hello, I was wondering if you guys were hiring for any positions?
- Actually yes. We need a receptionist! Can you start today?
- 3 years later he saved up enough to find an apartment and buy a car.
- That's alright. I'm a mechanic!
- I'll take the red one!
- Perfect! I have to warn you it has a few problems.
- He started developing a new routine. Wake up, shower, eat breakfast, and go to his favorite coffee shop.
- He ran into a lady he recognized.
- Hello, I don't know if you remember me, but you gave me some change when I was homeless.
- Only if you join me. My name is Grace.
- Thank you. May I repay you by buying you a cup of coffee Ms...?
- Oh hi! You look well! Good to hear you are not homeless anymore.
- Grace and Phil started dating and enjoying each others company to the fullest.
- After they got more serious he told her about his past. His drug addiction and how a woman had saved his life.
- Phil took Grace back to where they reunited and proposed.

- The day before the wedding Grace introduced Phil to her grandma.
- Louise?!
- This is the woman that saved my life.

- Phil! It is so good to see you! You look amazing.

- How can I ever repay you?
- You made me realize that in order to have meaning in my life, I needed to change.
- And what an amazing change you made.
- Seeing you doing so well is payment enough.
- So Phil and Grace went on to get married.
- They had three children, two great careers, and lived happily ever after.
