- There are over 2.4 billion Christians worldwide making it the largest religion in the world. Christians can be found on every continent. While there are many different sects of Christianity, they are generally broken into three groups: Catholics, Protestants, and Orthodox.
- Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem, lived in Nazareth, and died in Jerusalem in what today is Israel and Palestine. Those are the holiest cities for Christians. Rome is also important for Catholics because the Pope resides in Vatican City. Jesus' followers spread his teachings outside of Israel throughout the Middle East, Europe, and the world.

Belief in the teachings of Jesus such as: the importance of repentance for one's sins, forgiveness, loving thy neighbor and doing unto others what you would have done to you.
- Jesus of Nazareth was born around 0 CE in Bethlehem to Mary and Joseph and was raised Jewish. Jesus taught his followers about the importance of forgiveness and love. He preached that one should repent for their sins. At about 33 years old Jesus was crucified by the Romans. He is said to have been resurrected and ascended into heaven. His disciples continued to preach about his teachings and Christianity spread throughout the world.
