- It was Christmas Eve, and Della was very upset. She had no money to buy her husband, Jim, a present. She got an idea , but it made her sad. Yet, she had to do it.
- She put on her nice dress and headed to the hair salon to sell her hair.
- Using the money she got for her hair, she bought Jim a nice present.
- When Jim got home Della told him about his present. She was so excited!
- But, Jim told Della that he sold his watch for some combs for Della’s hair.
- Jim and Della couldn’t use their presents, but they loved each other. And that was the best present of all. The end.
