How COVID impacted my life

My teacher began class by saying "Don't worry class, theres nothing to be afraid of."
At this point, the entire school was aware of the Corona virus, but there were no known cases in the United States.
My teacher gave each student a disinfectant wipe to clean our desks and feel more comfortable being in class.
That was my last day of high school.
March
The school district announced that school would be resuming in 3 weeks.
April
As time passed, there was news of a corona virus outbreak in the United States.
My job decided to shut down as a safety precaution; so I am out of work!

Like everyone else, I felt stuck at home, and bored out of my mind.
I started spending more time with my boyfriend, and moved in with him!
On May 26, we heard news of people protesting in Minneapolis over the death of George Floyd.

We went to lots of peaceful protests to demand justice for George Floyd.
My boyfriend got pepper sprayed directly in the eye and we had to get help
When CDC procedures and guidelines are met, we are able to re-open the store!

My school held a drive-thru graduation ceremony
Disappointingly, the fight to end systematic racism is still happening to this day.
I am proud of the accomplishments I have made given the circumstances due to the Corona virus pandemic. I am a full time student, working multiple jobs, while balancing any social and economical battles that may arise.
