So I called the leasing company to find out how to make the final payment
Last year, I decided to buy my wife's VW Routan off of lease and sell it myself.
The leasing company told me I needed to go to a dealer to buy my car
And then tried to charge me hundreds of dollars in extra fees!
The dealer took hours to generate all kinds of paperwork
For the dealer, it doesn't matter that I already had a firm price from my lease and the car.
So I thought, what if there was a better way?
I shouldn't even need to go to a car dealer!
After all, this should be a simple transaction with the leasing company
I would just need to:
Change my registration with the state
Buy my car from the leasing company
Remove the leasing company from my insurance
Should that take two hours of my life and $300-$500 in sales commission?
I should be able to do this from home over the Internet

There are probably others out there who feel the way...
I would just need to facilitate the transaction, either manually or through integration
Just make it easy and convenient for the customer...
I think they would pay for that
Maybe as much as they would pay a dealer
Would banks pay to get access to these potential customers?
Plus, a lot of them would need financing.
An even better question... could this actually work?
