- In this scene, Agamemnon and Achilles are disputing who had a more honorable death.This scene is important because Agamemnon and Achilles' argument displays the theme of Kelos and how important it was in Greek mythology.
- "Son of Peleus, great godlike Achilles! Happy man, you died on the fields of Troy. a world away from home, and the best of Trojan and Argive champions died around you, fighting for your corpse." (24.38-41).
- 'Father--I am your son--myself, the man you're seeking...I've cut the suitors down in our own. house..." (24.359-363)
- This scene consists of Laertes embracing the coming home of his son, Odysseus. This scene is important because Agamemnon and Achilles' argument displays the another theme, Nostos.
