- One day a plant was in a garden and it decided it wanted to form an embryo with the part of the plant called the stamen (the male part of a flower) and the pistils ( the female part of a flower). Once the stamen and pistils had made the seed (ovules) through fertilization. It traveled down the style of the plant and into the ovary of the plant. But the stamen and pistil didn't have to worry because the sepals were watching over the developing plant and protecting it.
- Then a bee came by and saw the colorful petals, so the bee decided to pollinate the plant. So the bee took pollen from the anther of the plant which was held up by the filament then the pollen got put it into the stigma of the plant, and the stigma germinated the pollen, and it traveled down the long tube called the style and into the ovary of the plant.
- When that was over the seed was fertilized and it was dispersed into the environment to become another plant.
- The plant was hungry after its seed was in the dirt so it decided it needed food through photosynthesis, so first the plant had to absorb carbon dioxide (the substance that humans and animals breath out.) The plant also had to absorb the suns energy.
- With the light energy, water, and carbon dioxide the plant had absorbed it decided it needed to make glucose (food) for itself, but with the excess carbon dioxide and water, the plant used transpiration with the stomatas and guard cells controlling the stomatas to get rid of the extra carbon dioxide and water.
- With that the plant was satisfied that it had just make itś own form of food using photosynthesis. The pistils (female part of a plant) and the stamen (male part of a plant) were also happy they got food too.
