The Horrible Accident - September 13, 1848

The result -  1860-1866
It was September 13, 1848, and it was a normal day for Phineas Gage as a foreman working at a construction site for a railroad until a horrible accident is about to occur. long and weighs about thirteen and a half pounds comes extremely fast toward Phineas stabbing Phineas under his left cheekbone and coming out on his forehead near his hairline, causing this accident to change Phineas's whole life. 
After the acident occured Phineas gage was still breathing and alive. Many things happend between 1948-1850. Many research hypothesis  and theories were made. Although Phineas made a full revovery phyiscally he never made a full recovery mentaly. Family member and workmates soon discoverd that Phineas character and personality changed drasticly, but not for the better. It was soon discovered that phineas was not the same person. He would talk inappropriately and in vagular language. It would take doctors and scientist years to finally understand reasons why this happend but it would be to late to help phineas. 
In 1860 Phineas Gage sadly passed away after living for 11 years 6 monghs and 19 days after the acident. Around 1966 Dr, harlow contacted Phineas Gages family but it's too late but they exchtange letters and aggred for Phineas brain/skull to be examined for futher research. Phineas lived a long life and his skull is currently in Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
