- Long ago, there existed a barren world covered by a thick mist. Nothing could survive in such a world, therefore there was nothing. One fateful day, a stray ember said to be from the stars themselves ignited a flame within the heart of the earth. This flame would later be named the ‘First Flame’ and it had brought a new era to this world. This was the beginning of the Age of Fire.

- The beings that had arisen from the Flame began to worship it. For many hundreds of years, the people lived by the Flame and died by it all the same. Until one day, as fate would have it, the people noticed the flame had been growing weaker and weaker, threatening to bring an end to the prosperous Age of Fire and bring about the dreaded Age of Darkness. Desperate to save the dwindling Flame, the people called upon their leader, Gwyn, the first Lord of Cinder.

- After countless fruitless attempts to rekindle the Flame, Gwyn decided to sacrifice his own life to the fire. Stepping into the kiln, the fire was immediately reinvigorated and went on to burn for another thousand years.

- Over the millennia, many other Lords of Cinder followed and went on to offer their lives to the Flame. Until one day, the First Flame had yet again begun to dwindle, though the current Lord of Cinder, Prince Lothric, refused to step into the Flame, instead allowing the Age of Darkness to settle in.

- Not willing to accept this, the high priests of the First Flame resurrected four previous Lords of Cinder in hopes that they would link the fire. Alas, they too chose to flee their duties, forcing the Unkindled to rise from the Ash.
- Diapositiva: 6
- The Unkindled are those who stepped into the Flame but failed to link it. All of them live for the sole purpose of defeating the Lords of Cinder and returning them to their thrones. Though one Unkindled rose above the rest.
- Diapositiva: 7
- This valiant warrior was dubbed the ‘Warrior of Ash’. He alone had the strength to defeat the Lords of Cinder and reinvigorate the Flame. One by one, the Warrior defeated the mighty Lords.
- Diapositiva: 8
- He brought their souls to their thrones by the kiln. After defeating them all, he casted their souls into the First Flame, rekindling the fire once and for all, continuing the Age of Fire forever more.
