  • Hello guys! I hope you're ready for today, because we're going to dive into many important topics!

  • - Gender has to do with roles that men and women are assigned by society. - Sex has to do with the biological makeup of a person - Gender identity is how people identify and call themselves regardless of the sex assigned at birth.

  • - Sexuality is typically the gender that one is attracted to.- Gender binary means to be accepting of the sex assigned at birth.

  • Suzanne Far once said,sexism, racism, homophobia, classism, ableism, anti-Semitism, ageism. They are linked by a common origin-economic power and control-and by common methods of limiting, controlling and destroying lives (1988).
  • There are multiple forms of oppression and they are all unacceptable. For example gender bias in education or in jobs is another big form of oppression.

  • The feminist movement consisted of BIPOC and white women of other organized spaces that focused on Civil Rights, Black Power, and Class Struggles.
  • Isn't that pretty AWSOME how all these women regardless of ethnicity and class they all came together to fight for the same thing!

  • All genders having equal rights and opportunities!
  • It doesn't matter what you identify as or what your ethnicity is everyone should be entitled to equal rights and opportunities!
