- Hi, I'm Rick. today, Ill show you the do's and don'ts of a Lab Dress Code
- First off, these are goggles. Goggles should ALWAYS be worn any time you work with chemicals, an open flame, or a mechanical device
- This is an apron, it should be worn when working woth chemicals or heated substances. You don't want to ruin your clothes!
- You have to use heat resistant gloves or latex gloves when instructd to do so; otherwise, chemicals might get in your hands

- Somehting you should consider while being in the lab, is tying your hair back and removing any dangling jewlery, they might get in your way and get covered in chemicals
- In this case, Rose meets all the dangling objects requiremetns
- Mary on the other hand, is not ready to go to the lab, this is becasue her hair is not completely tied back, plus, she has a dangling necklace

- This is Rashid, he isn't quite ready to go to the lab yet since his baggy clothing could hang down and touch chemicals or flames. If your culture limits your clothing options, you should ask your teacher about what to do
- Finally, Kayla. She is not ready to enter the lab because of her open toed shoes, shoulder straps, and dangling necklaces.
- If you follow this safety dress code, you should be safe when entering the lab!
