- In this scene it shows pride because the cyclops is displaying self delight, and implying to the others that he's the strongest, for example in the text, the Cyclops says, "Nohbd's my meat, then, after i eat his friends. Others come first. There's a noble gift. now". This Cyclops is basically saying that he'll eat them later instead of now, which can be intrepreted as the Cyclops thinking he's high and mighty. This then resulted in him having his eye stabbed for having too much pride.
- In this scene it shows pride because Odysseus and the others are showing satisfaction due to the fact that they stabbed the Cyclops in the ey, after he had aten one of their companions. For example in the text it states, "O'Cyclops! would you feast on my companions? Puny, am i, in a caveman's hands? How do you like the beating that we gave you, you damned cannibal? eater of guests under your roof! Zeus and the gods have paid you!".
- This Scene shows pride because, right after Odysseus and everyone else escaped from the cyclops. When they had gotten on a boat and started leaving, Odysseus yelled, "Cyclops, if ever mortal man inquire how you were put to shame and blinded, tell him Odysseus, raider of cities, took your eye: Laertes' son, whose home's on Ithaca!".
