- Chapter 1: Coming Home
- Robin Hood talks up home to his new buddies from the war, Alan a Dale (a minstrel) and Will Scarlet.

- Chapter 1: "Snottingham"
- Robin's home is different than he remembers. His two friends aren't impressed. Alan a Dale even calls it "Snottingham". There is poverty everywhere and many closed up businesses.

- Chapter 1: Little John
- Robin is really starting to feel anxious about his homecoming when one of his best friends, Little John, comes up to meet them with his little brother Much (who was just a toddler when Robin left)

- Chapter 1: Guy of Gisborne
- Guy of Gisborne is new since Robin left. He's the richest man in Nottingham. He welcomes Robin, but criticizes his company. He casually (on purpose) drops that he's engaged to Marian. He treats Little John like a servant. Little John stands up to him - he does NOT like that.

- Chapter 2: Maid Marian
- Maid Marian is a good person who tries to help the poor. She collects money and supplies, but doesn't seem to be making any difference.Friar Tuck tries to help, but doesn't lift her spirits.

- Chapter 2: The Bishop of Nottingham
- Marian can't take much more. She storms inside to the Bishop of Nottingham, demanding more be given. He is the most pompous man, saying, "The Lord only helps those who help themselves".

- Chapter 2: Robin's Back
- Marian meets her fiancé Guy of Gisborne on her way home after her talk with the Bishop. He agrees and reassures and is a completely different person from earlier. He also manages to drop the bomb that her old love, Robin of Loxley is back.

- Chapter 2: Elizabeth de Stanton
- Marian makes it home to her manor where she lives with her cousin, Elizabeth. She wants to complain, but Lizzy won't let her - there's too much to do and puts her to work with wedding plans. It's a good thing someone is excited about this.
