- 1933, four years after the stock market crash
- Why are you back so soon, John? Why aren't you at work?
- Who could that be?
- Things don't look too good, Carol. I just got laid off from my job at assembly line.
- I'm wondering that too. They didn't give me a cent. Just sent me on my way!
- KNOCK KNOCK
- Oh no! Where's your paycheck?
- This can't be happening! What are we going to tell Junior!?
- Mr. and Mrs. Dougen? I'm from the Bank of Canada. I'm here to repossess your house. You haven't been paying your bills.
- Please, no! You can't take the house! It's all we have left!
- I just got laid off by my boss! We'll have to live in the streets! Please don't do this!
- Momma... I don't feel good. My tummy hurts.
- Junior!! Turn that up!!!
