After Lamar entered his information and clicked PAY NOW, an error message appeared. What he did not know was that a phisher had stolen his information and is selling it to a scammer. Cluelessly, he clicks the link to reload the site, but he does not realize that that link is redirecting him to a malware website. The domain is different from before.

When Lamar clicked the malware link, it installed a Trojan Horse Virus, which disguises itself as a legitimate application to trick him into clicking that link. A countdown is used as method of intimidation because people are more likely to make rash decisions when they are scared.
