- John ProctorMotivation - To cover up his affair and to protect his wife and to not be manipulated by the church.Behavior - He is caring, protective, and he doesn't follow all of the churches rules.Consequence - His relationship with his wife isn't very good because of the affair and his relation with the church isn't good because of his lack of participation. Expectations - He expects everyone affected by the affair to move on and forget about it like he is trying too.Responsibilities - He has to protect and care for his family, be a good father, and to prove that his wife isn't a witch.Quote - "This warrant is vengeance. I will not give my wife to vengeance."
- Reverend ParrisMotivation - Reverend Parris' motivation is to maintain a good reputation in the town of Salem. He also wants power.Behavior - He uses many fear tactics and manipulates people of the church.Consequence - He is not liked by some people like John Proctor, but he gets many people to join the church and follow the Puritan ways.Expectation - Parris expects everyone to conform to the church and follow his beliefs.Responsibilities - Parris is supposed to uphold the values of the Puritan religion and the church while maintaining his power and protecting his family.Quote - "There either obedience or the church will burn like Hell is burning."
- AbigailMotivation - To be with John Proctor and to make her name white again in the community.Behavior - She acts very jealous of Elizabeth and she acts hostile towards the other girls.Consequence - Her name is not entirely pure in the town and she has to accuse people of witchcraft in order to protect herself.Expectations - She expects that John will want her once Elizabeth is gone and she expects not to be accused if she accuses others.Responsibilities - To follow Puritan rules and to make sure that her uncles reputation is hurt.Quote - "I know how you clutched my back behind your house and sweated like a stallion whenever I came near."
