Earth was so beautiful before man's wickedness appeared
I regret making men, creeping things, and birds! They must be removed
You will help me build an arc of great size to carry a few of my creations. Others will be left to drown
I need to punish all man, I will soon flood the earth for 40 days and 40 night
Board your arc with my animals
God saw man taking women to be their wives and saw them do wicked things to women, he could not stand this sight. The Lord regretted that He had made man on earth, and His heart was saddened (Genesis 6.6).
Noah, a follower of the Lord was asked to build an arc of gopher wood to house pairs of animals during the flood. God wanted to give the earth and man kind a clean slate to start a new life
God gave Noah a convenant or instructions to bring his sons and their families, as well as 2 of every animal, and a food supply with him on the arc. You will notice a theme that if you follow God's covenant and wishes, you will find happiness.
Thank you Noah, for doing everything I asked. The world may now endure on their own
Just as the Lord said it would, it rained over the entire earth for forty days and forty nights.
When the rain finally stops, Noah sends three of his birds to look for land. The first one was not successful, the second came back with a branch, and the last never came back, meaning it had found land.
I think the Lord felt sorry for destroying all of his creation so hastily but he also knew it was for the best to rid them of evil. Never again will I doom the earth because of man, since the devisings of man's mind are evil from his youth. (Genesis 8.21).
