- the three rioters set an oath to go after and kill death and kill it and on there way there they find an extremely old man and they question him rudely on where death is and he points them behind a tree in the woods

- instead of finding death they found tons of gold behind the tree ans immediately forgot about hunting down death and try to think of a way to sneak it beck into the city and settle on going back in at night so they send the youngest one into town for supplies and in that time they all plan to kill each other for the goldt the two wanna stab the younger one in the bak and the younger one wants to poison them
- agreed lets stab him in the back
- there's more gold if there's less of us
- so the all of them follow through with their plans and the two stab the youngest in the back and they celebrate by drinking the poisoned wine which leaves all of them dead and also having the old man be right in saying that death was behind that tree
