- An small and happy Indian family has migrated from their home country, India, to America, for the better future of their daughter, Devi. Today is her first day of school in America.

- Devi arrives at her school and she is extremely excited to see how school is like in America.

- Devi is on her way to the lockers when two girls, Charlotte and Sarah spot her in the hallways. They were told that there was going to be a new student in their class. They start gossiping about her and how they wouldn't want to be her friend because of her skin colour.
