Ms. Adella Strangeworth made her way out of the house to head to the grocery store. As almost everyday goes, tourists admire her house and her flowers. Everyone asks if they can have a flower but she never allows it. She always had to stop every minute or so to say good morning to someone or to ask after someone's health.
Good Morning Everyone!
Please don't pick flowers!
Wow! These are beautiful!
Miss Strangeworth awakened the next morning with a feeling of intense happiness. She came down and found the mail on the hall floor and bent to pick it up. A bill, the morning paper, a letter in a green envelope that looked oddly familiar. She thought it looked like one of her letters. She began to cry silently for the wickedness of the world when she read the words on the letter.
LOOK OUT ATWHAT USED TO BE YOUR ROSES.
Mrs. Harper comes into the store to grab some sugar as she had ran out. Her hand shook slightly as she opened her pocketbook. Ms. Strangeworth wondered, glancing at her quickly, if she had been taking proper care of herself. Martha Harper was not as young as she used to be, Ms. Strangeworth thought. Ms. Adella commented and Mrs. Harper took it harshly. She angrily gave her money to Mr. Lewis and stormed out of the store.
Ms. Adella meets Mrs. Harper. at the counter..
