- Augustus was an emperor of Rome. He was the emperor that Stared the Pax Romana which means "Roman Peace". According to the text, on pg 14, it states, "Augustus reign began the Pax Romana, or "Roman Peace"-200 years of peace and prosperity enjoyed across the empire." This means that Augustus started many good things of Rome during this reign as emperor.

- Christianity developed in Jewish communities and was based on the teachings of Jesus.A man named Jesus who lived in Nazareth was a Jew whose beliefs became a threat to Jewish and Roman leaders.
