- Oldhan County Schools should have school online for snow days because students like me can still learn while being at home, it creates less difficulties on rescheduleing, and we can have more time in the summer.
- I understand where you are coming from, but I think having NTI on snowdays is more complicated that you think. Teachers at your school need more time to plan things like that.
- But if teachers already have their planning on what they will teach the next day, whats the burden with teaching the same thing virtually? The only difference is you are on a screen.
- You make a good point, however it can be hard for teachers to monitor the kind of work students are doing when they are not with them, or if they are doing any work at all. With that being said, some students even refuse to join the online learning, making it difficult to communicate.
- If students choose to not participate in the online learning, they will have to seperatly deal with the consiquences when they come back to the school building.
- That isn't a bad idea, but what about all of the distractions going on at home? How are we to know that the students are listening?
- By looking at the students work completion. If a teacher assigns an assignment about what she just taught them online, they can complete it.
- What about the access students have to other electronic devies such as phones, tablets, or even other computers where answers to questions are easily provided?
- I think you got me on that one. Being at home would create an easy way for them to cheat on their schoolwork.
