- You broke our deal. These are our horses now.
- Those horses aren't yours. Bring them back!

- The British making a deal wiht the Cherokee to prevent them from becoming friends with France. The Cherokee view this deal as an alliance. The British think this pact is a sign of agreement to British superiority.
- Fight!
- 30 years later, the Cherokee are attacked by the French and other Indians. They expect the British to help them, but they aren't protected by the British.
- My people surrender.
- Surrender or we will kill you all now!
- The Cherokee, in their minds think that the British broke the deal. They are very upset steal some British horses as payment. The British are not happy.
- Goodbye home!
- The British are unhappy and attack the Cherokee. The Cherokee attack back and the Royal governor of South Carolina tries to control the Cherokee by stopping all trade and taking Cherokee peace representatives as hostages. This just further upsets the Cherokee and war starts. This war is called The Cherokee War.
- The Cherokee War lasts about 2 years. The British win and many Cherokee were killed.
- The treaty signed to end the war requiered the Cherokee to give up much of their land. This treaty created a boundry dividing the SC colony and the Cherokee territory. Many Cherokee were forced to migrate to NC and other places due to the loss of their homes.
