- In Franch, people were divided into 3 states which were High-ranking people from the church, Nobles, and commoners.The first and second states didn't have to pay taxes while the third state does.
- National assembly
- Because they participated in the French and Indian war plus they supported the American Revolution their funds were almost depleted thanks to the wars and because the king and queen wasted all the rest of the money in dresses and in the palace there was almost no money left and started taxing the Third state more taxes because the First and Second refused to pay taxes.

- King Louis XVI called the States-General representatives from the 3 states to a meeting to solve France´s financial crisis the way it would be decided is by votes but each state could only send one vote, as because the First and Second state didn´t want to pay taxes they both went against the Third state that wanted the First and Second to pay since all the burden was going to them.

- After the meeting and the historical Tennis court Oath, King Louis XVI didn´t actually want to change/rewrite the constitution over some lowly ¨lowly commoners¨ and to prevent the constitution to change The King sent the Military Force to take care of the National Assembly but after the news reached Paris on July 14, 1789 people from the Third state stormed the Bastille and it is now known as France´s Independence Day.
