Shemar' s Economy

Testo Storyboard

  • Once upon a time was a small village called Shemar's heights. This wasn't like any other village tho, here there was no need for money because that people of the village survived off what they knew how to do. They divided all the work that needed to be done amongst themselves but the people were noticing that yes they were all talented but all in there own unique ways.
  • Shemar's Family Economy
  • For example Jessy couldn't grow a corn like how James knew how too. So they decided to focus only on what they were skilled at in order to survive. Although this sounded like a great idea that would benefit everyone they later found out it wasn't.
  • At times John, Susie and Mary wants rice and beans but only John knew how to grow the beans and only Susie knew how to grow rice and Mary was the only one that knew how to make the rice and beans. So, they decided to start exchanging what they produced in return for goods or services. Both John and Susie would give Mary their crops that they grew for her services to make the food.
  • Everyone would be gaining in this situation right, so problem solved? Well not so because they were still problems.
  • Let's say that Sarah wants beans from John but she only has a cow to exchange. Obviously only 1 pound of beans wouldn't be fair for an entire cow. And if they cut that cow then it wouldn't be that much valuable anymore & that was just one of the many problems they faced using the exchange system.
  • So in order to fix the problems they decided to only trade one thing that would hold as much value as any other trade which was cacao in the village at the time but now in today's date we call it money.
