- Good day Frank! I have a very important question...what are your suggestions on how a society should be governed?
- Well Joe, I shall begin. I believe that those who govern must be elected by society and the power of the government must be used to protect the rights of our citizens.
- And the best type of government would be a government with limited power who all citizens accept and trust but could also be overthrown by the people. To achieve an organized society we must communicate our beliefs, values and ideas freely to others.
- Wow thats pretty cool Frank, but also what are your beliefs on human beings... do you think human beings are good or bad?
- Well Joe, I believe human beings are good. My first example is from a philosopher that goes by the name John Locke (1632-1704) who believed that human beings were naturally cooperative and reasonable and, if given the opportunity, would work well with each other towards a common goal. Think about it Joe do you naturally try to cooperate with other people? or what about in a group project when you're trying to work towards the same goal of acing that project?
- And my second example is according to CNN News a vast majority of people, when faced with simple, clear ethical choices, choose good over bad and even good over neutral. What would you choose? myself good over both of those.
- Same here! Would definitely pick good over both of those! Good examples Frank!
- My last example is that not only can people work well together but in our lives us humans can help the earth by recycling or establishing wildlife preserves and parks! Which then helps make earth a happier, cleaner place to live in. Thats about it.
