- Good morning class, today we are going to be talking about why Christians have hope for the fulfilment of an imperfect world.
- Although there are wars such as the current was with Russia and Ukraine the Christian hope is still alive because of the continuing commitment to a perfect world
- This commitment is not easy to live with though with many people sinning. However this does not discourage God. in his eyes you are perfect now but are also still in the process of being perfect made perfect
- We know this from the bible verse Hebrews 10:14 "For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being holy"
- But if we are all "perfect" why do people like Adolf Hitler exist
- It is not as if people like adolf hitler didn't have a choice. for all we know if hitler didn't ignore god he might have been a good person but as history shows us he chose death and destruction over peace and eternal life.
- Great question! yes people like this can still exist and have strayed so far away from god in the act of mass genocide and war that they will go to hell and god will not let them enter heaven

- An example of an encyclical is from pope francis on the matter of the Ukraine russia war. pope francis labelled the war as the easter war and pleaded for the war to stop immediately blaming russia for starting it
- Many popes throughout history have pushed for peace over war. These demands for peace can take the forms of a letter from the pope called an encyclical.
