Good Morning Lois, How are you?. I thought that I ould just pause for a moment to share with you the concept of Steweardship and The Parable of the Talents.
You know, I was really struggling to understand the topic and I have a tri-weekley coming up solely on that topic.
Stewardship is the role/ action of taking care for managing and caring for one's own or another person's resources, while a steward is one who is responsible for managing resources. It originated from the Greek word: Oikonomia.
Yes Lois. There can however be both good and bad stewards. Some of the tennants of a good steward include:Dependability, Loyalty, Integrity, Faithfullness, Honesty and Mutual Respect.
Ohk, I see. Tell me Melten,Should these stewards have certain qualities?
Look !!This man is disposing of his garbage on the sea side. This is an example of bad stewardship as it poses harm to our environment.
I see. Now I understand that there can be both bad and good stewards. I also heard my R.E teacher, Ms. Barrett, speak about the 4 T's of Stewardship. What are these?
Yes Lois. Stewardship is based on 4 T's. These include:-Time-Talent-Temple ( your body)-Tithe
