Are you okay do you need anything?
That's alright could I ask a favor though?
She's not here right now is there anything you would like me to tell her?
Sure.
Darcy was in her room studying when her grandmother called her over to her.
I want her to be happy without all the pressure and have fun younger years before they pass.
Could you look out for her for me, she's working so hard and hardly taking care of herself.
Darcy walked into her grandma's room confused and slightly worried if grandma was okay.
Thank you very much please do tell her how much I love her though. I'm getting quite tired and am going to take a nap now.
Of course I'll look after her for you.
Darcy sat down with Grandma and soon realized grandma believed Darcy was still a little girl and didn't know who she was talking to, and found no point in trying to explain who she is or what's going on.
Goodnight Grandma.
Grandma told Darcy the concerns she had for her knowing her mother likely wouldn't notice. Hearing this from her grandma thinking no one noticed made Darcy quite emotional.
Darcy reassured grandma with a sad smile, grandma thanked Darcy and told her how she was getting tired and was going to sleep.
As grandma fell asleep Darcy left the room silently in tears by her grandma's kind words were exactly what she needed to hear at that moment.
