In the streets of Verona Mercutio and Tybalt were fighting so then Romeo tried to come in between them which resolved to Mercutio being killed because Tybalt stabbed him in the rib and ran away. After that Romeo went to talk things out with Tybalt but instead killed him. So then Romeo hid in Friar Lawrence's cell and found out that he was banished.

Juliet had found out that she had to marry Paris but she didn't want to because she was already married to Romeo. She went to the Friar for help and he gave her a potion so that she could fall asleep and miss the wedding day. Once in her room she was deciding if she should drank it but she drank it because she only wanted to be with Romeo.

Romeo climbs over an orchard wall to go see Juliet. He hears her talking and overhears her conversation and says this and Juliet asks who is eavesdropping and he comes out. They start talking for a while before Juliet had to go because the nurse was calling her. Before she went he told her if she wanted to get married and tells him if he actually wanted to marry her he has to send his word tomorrow to her servant.
