- Nonsense. This is nothing more than a habit.
- For the first time, one of Macbeth's crime is having major implications. In an attempt to stay in power, he has made himself vulnerable to court. His mental state continues to deteriorate.
- Why are you angry?
- Hurry before she returns.
- You disobeyed me. Have you forgotten who I am? All that you have for Macbeth must come undone. Tell Macbeth of his destiny. He is a fool.
- Hecate believes that Macbeth has cheated fate, and the witches are responsible. Hecate is a symbol of Macbeth's undoing.
- Hecate leaves
- Macduff must return to free us from this nightmare!
- As act three comes to a close, this discussion reveals an attempt at restoring Duncan's family to power. The last scene shows just how quickly Macbeth's own actions and resulting perceptions has made him a target
- Why would the king pity Duncan now? And where is Banquo? Something is clearly wrong with the king, and I think he is up to something. Where is Macduff?
- Macduff visits Malcolm, the true king, and the King of the English. He is attempting to persuade King Edward to fight against Macbeth. Macbeth has heard, and is preparing for war.
